Climate change significantly impacts our landscape. Landscape architects can play a key role in addressing climate change by the development of long-term visions on the regional scale. However, only a small number of studies comes up with evidence based and validated design solutions. Research through Design (RTD) can be seen as a promising research strategy to develop reliable spatial design solutions but academic RTD on the regional scale is missing. This research develops a regional RTD method and applies it in two regions that face climate change.
