Urban water challenges are becoming increasingly prevalent in global south metropolises, and the situation is getting worse due to dynamic climate changes that has been observed. Similarly, a lack of adequate infrastructure, an increase in population, a failure to put adopted techniques into practice, a failure to take into account local conditions when doing so, a failure to perform routine maintenance on the grey infrastructure, and a lack of financial capability would exacerbate the situation. The scientific advancement to date in tackling those urban water challenges lacks an integrated approach or framework in creating dynamic models for supporting the planning of NbS to maximize their multi-functionality and long-term resilience under climate change. Thus, the goal of this research is to make urban regions more resilient to the effects of climate change by developing an all-encompassing strategy to address water-related concerns in urban areas.
