Mitigating negative impacts of extreme events on the sustained provision of aquatic ecosystem services

This project aims at investigating the impacts of extreme events on the aquatic ecosystems and how effective different mitigation techniques is under disturbance of extreme events. The study site will scale up from microcosm, to mesocosm, ultimately to macrocosm, to provide a comprehensive understanding of how extreme events are affecting the sustained provision of freshwater ecosystem services.
