Marine food webs in the shallow coastal sea

Part of the research project STW- Nature Coast that aims to protect our coastal area and understand the environmental impacts of the Sand Motor. The Sand Engine pilot is a concentrated 21 million m3 shore nourishment at the Delfland coast. The aim of this PhD is to quantify food web mass and energy flows over various trophic levels from benthos to fish and birds and from fish to birds using Dynamic Energy Budget Models.
