
On 8 June 2021 at 10:00 (CET) Pavitra Ganga is organising a joint webinar with other EU-India Water projects in the context of the European Green Week 2021. This webinar will present an overview of EU-India projects, how each projects tackles water governance as well as socio-economic issues and how the selected technologies will remove and manage pollution. IHE Delft is member of the Pavitra Ganga consortium. Tineke Hooijmans is the project leader on behalf of IHE Delft sub projects.
The European Commission under the Horizon 2020 programme and the Government of India have decided to co-fund 7 outstanding projects to co-create, co-design and co-develop innovative low-cost technologies for tackling India’s water and sanitation. These projects have been working jointly for the past year and a half to address comprehensively water pollution challenges.
The webinar starts with a keynote presentation from Anshuman (TERI), project coordinator in India. He will present the challenges that India faces and the possible ways to achieve zero pollution. After that, participants get an overview of the involved India-EU Water projects and their approaches, followed by a Q&A session and a panel discussion.
