How can humanitarian actors make better, evidence-based decisions to protect public health in complex and resource-constrained environments?
Join us for the first webinar in the RISK-WASH webinar series, where we will share emerging findings and lessons from our work on risk-based approaches to humanitarian decision-making. This webinar marks the start of a series of discussions that will explore how evidence can be translated into practical tools, approaches and guidance for the humanitarian sector.
The session will provide an overview of the RISK-WASH project and feature short presentations from early-career researchers presenting findings from our case study areas in Cox’s Bazar Refugee Camps, Bangladesh and Imvepi Refugee Settlement, Uganda. The presentations will highlight emerging evidence on sanitation, public health risks, exposure pathways, and decision-support tools.
Who should attend?
- Humanitarian WASH practitioners
- NGOs and implementing agencies
- UN agencies
- Government and utility staff working in crisis-affected settings
- Researchers and students

This webinar offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from the next generation of humanitarian WASH researchers, engage with emerging evidence, and think about how risk-based approaches can help improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of humanitarian interventions.
We look forward to welcoming you to the first of a series of webinars where we will share findings, lessons learned and recommendations from the RISK-WASH project and explore their implications for humanitarian policy, practice, standards and guidance.
