General information

In many fields of research, modelling and simulation are critical tools. As their popularity has grown, so has the discourse surrounding why and how they should be used. To help rationalise this debate, we are looking to provide a cross-institutional forum for discussing systems modelling and simulation, as well as the interpretation of simulation insights. Our areas of interest include: problem conceptualisation and decomposition, choices in modelling paradigms, simulation verification and validation, model-based decision support methods. We welcome all modellers, regardless of experience or preferred modelling practice. Schedule upcoming meetings (usually every third Wednesday of the month):

  • 15 June 2022, 1300-1500, online: Cognitive modelling for social simulation – how to develop more elaborated agent deliberation mechanisms, Dr Loïs Vanhée
